Ubuntu Brightness Control Not Working
Tried http://askubuntu.com/a/467869/375346 but it did not work. As this is a new laptop, I've only run Karmic on it, but from the sounds of it, this is a Karmic specific problem. Check your brightness controls, and hopefully this fixed things.
