Seems to be working now. Windows update service, Background Intelligent Transfer Service and everything is ok.. Solution This error "Windows update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. I have 3 servers that windows update says that there isu pdates available for, but if I tell it to get them, it just sits at 0% with 0 bytes trying Very strange as I had not made any changes or done anything I can think of that would cause this. Before sending it, please verify whether it can be opened on your computer.
